Techniques-Masking
This month's techniques class gives you a hands-on look at masking. This is an awesome technique that allows you to place multiple images on the same piece of cardstock/element without the images overlapping one another with unsightly lines. Masking is a must-have technique for your stamping "tool belt" whether you are a beginner or a seasoned stamper.
These are the lovely cards we will be making this month, designed and created by my very talented daughter Tiffany, also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. You will further appreciate her work knowing that she is nursing a 3-month old infant who wants to feed round the clock! (That's why we are a bit behind on posting the details of this class:) Somehow, she managed to squeeze in enough design time to create these beautiful cards. Our aim this month was to produce one more feminine design and one more masculine design, and I think Tiffany has done that beautifully. Masculine cards seem to be a greater challenge for our feminine minds! The feminine design features Notably Ornate, one of the brand new stamp sets in the 2010-11 Idea Book and Catalog. The masculine card features the Autumn Days stamp set. As always, you may change the greeting to something more appropriate for your needs if desired.

Saturday Sample
Today I'm sharing another of Tiffany's creations. Tiffany is my daughter and also a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. She made this card for her step-son whose birthday was this week. The soccer images as well as the Goal word are from the Just Soccer stamp set (Sale-a-Bration item #120219), one of 50+ free stamp set options available during Sale-a-Bration. The images in this set are great for masculine cards as well as scrapbooking. This set is a must-have for any and all soccer fans. A little embossing or Crystal Effects brings texture to the soccer ball and shoe, and a little repeat stamping makes the ball and shoe look like they are in motion. Pretty cool, huh?
My husband was just telling me this morning that the World Cup is right around the corner: June 11-July 11. As I'm writing this post, I'm thinking of some awesome favors and fun things I can make with Just Soccer to help the team spirit!

To place your order today and receive the Just Soccer stamp set FREE (with a qualifying order), simply go to candystamps.stampinup.net Just click on products and then shop now to start shopping while you earn free stamps. This offer is good through March 31st only, so hurry!

Help for Haiti

I wanted to update you on the fundraising effort that Stampin' Up! did on behalf of the relief efforts in Haiti. The card, at left, was made using the I (heart) Hearts stamp set.Worldwide, demonstrators sold 13,587 of the stamp sets that were set aside for Haitian relief--I (heart) Hearts. From each of those sales, Stampin′ Up! will donate $2 to the Red Cross’ American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. That’s over $27,000 donated to people who desperately need your help. Now that's a company with a heart!
